Our comfortable family run self-catering accommodation and outdoor adventure activities are located in the heart of the beautiful Scottish Highlands outside the highland town of Fort William, beneath Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain.
Snowgoose Mountain Centre provides the ideal accommodation base for your holiday or short break – at any time of the year - whatever you wish to do - whether you are taking part in our activities or not. We are an ideal base to explore and tour the west coast of Scotland.
Other than a host of adventure activities on our doorstep in the stunning mountain ranges, lochs, rivers and coastal fringes of the Scottish Highlands there is a huge range of other attractions to visit.
Outdoor Activites
Snowgoose Mountain Centre is a long established and highly regarded provider of outdoor skills training – in the area around Ben Nevis & Glen Coe, renowned for its easy access to a huge variety of adventure activities at all levels – all year round.
We offer instruction courses, adventure days & activity holidays, private guiding, Duke of Edinburgh Award as well as outdoor education – our speciality being wilderness expeditions by paddle or foot.
On our doorstep we have access to mountain walking, open canoeing, river kayaking, sea kayaking, dinghy sailing, winter climbing, mountain biking & ski-ing. Plus our extensive range of outdoor gear hire for a discerning client base.
Self Catering Accommodation
Snowgoose Apartments, The Smiddy Bunkhouse & Blacksmiths Backpackers Hostel offer flexible holiday accommodation and provides an ideal base for couples or small groups from one night upwards located right at the start of the Caledonian Canal and Great Glen Ways. We are the ideal base for extended family groups to get together or mountaineering and paddling groups to meet.
As well as touring the many quiet country roads out to the west, taking a ride on the steam engine which passes our door, visiting quiet white sandy beaches also take a ride up the mountain gondola at Nevis Range or drive to end of Glen Nevis to view the stunning mountain views
