activity programmes & courses
The details below are for the Snowgoose outdoor education programs, courses & taster days only – we include all technical gear & equipment, in course transport – but no accommodation or food. We are happy to provide accommodation in our self catered hostel or bunkhouse – sleeping 12 or 14 persons. Or if you wish we can help you find accommodation elsewhere locally.
Schools
At Snowgoose Mountain Centre we know and understand the valuable contribution that outdoor activities can make to a child's education. Snowgoose is licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA), and over the years we have established a strong reputation for providing a safe and fun, yet challenging environment to which schools can bring children for a day of activities, or more often for a Monday-to-Friday for a non – residential or self catered residential stay.
If you are interested in bringing your pupils to Snowgoose we would love to have the opportunity to discuss your requirements, and also to host a pre-trip inspection visit.
Youth Groups
It is well known that 'the great outdoors' plays a big part in the worlds of the Scouts, Guiding and Boys' Brigade movements. We have been happy to have hosted groups from these organisations, as they seek to deliver opportunities for fun, adventure, decision-making, responsibility and a sense of achievement to their young people.
Our approach is to work with group organisers to tailor a programme of activities to suit the age range and abilities of the group, as well as that all-important budget. Accommodation for up to 26 people is also available in our fully self catered bunkhouse and hostel – Blacksmiths Hostel & The Smiddy Bunkhouse – right next to one another. So whether it's a one or two activity day trip, a weekend away, or a longer summer camp, get in touch to start planning a great time for your group.
Colleges & Universities
Looking for a good base for your mountaineering, walking or paddle sports club, a field trip, or club / society weekend away? Whether you just need good value accommodation for a night, a weekend or a few days, or if you'd like to add some extra interest to your time away with the addition of an activity or two, then we Snowgoose Mountain Centre may well just hit the spot.
Located on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, and with good road and nearby rail connections to the rest of Scotland and the UK, we are accessible from the majority of university towns and cities.
